Western Iowa Wine Trail's signature event!
Each of the 7 wineries will greet you with delicious grilled
foods paired with the right Iowa-made wines that compliment
the flavor!   To make your roadtrip even more fun,
be sure to visit each winery along the trail to collect a piece
of the 7-piece gift set, available to the first 225 passport purchasers.  
Although you can complete the trail in 1 day, many of our
repeat wine trail participants have found that it is much more
relaxing over 2 days.  Either way, we wish you safe travels
as you embark on your Western Iowa Wine Trail roadtrip...

Welcome 2009!
We At Sugar Clay Winery & Vineyard are excited
about the year ahead!  
Besides gearing up for a productive season in the vineyard,
we are hard at work in the winery crafting wine from the
bumper 2008 crop!  Besides our well-received traditional
wines ranging from dry to semi-sweet & sweet grape wines,
new for us this year will be the release of a cherry wine and
the return of our blackberry mead.  Very soon, we will be
introducing a bistro-style menu, focusing on artisan cheese &
meat plates, soups, appetizers and other foods to
compliment our wines.  And how about summer dining in the
vineyard, among the vines? We cannot wait!

Amy & Frank are creating a terrific line-up of winery events
that will compliment your wine experience here. You can
expect an indoor winter & spring music line-up, wine-blending
parties & even a tye-dye party…”Winestock 2009” to kick-off
our 4th year in business…a summer filled with outdoor music,
art & culinary experiences…and a fall with grape-stomping,
Blues Festival, Man-In-Black party & Octoberfest activities,
just to name a few!  We encourage you to keep checking
back and watch our schedule of events develop over the

"Sugar Clay Winery is now a licensed food establishment! We
now offer a light menu featuring meat/cheese plates,
hummus & pita, olive tapenade & bread, grape salsa & chips
and a red wine & chocolate flight.  We will be expanding our
menu this summer to include outdoor grilling & dinner
parties in the vineyard!  For groups of 10 or more, call ahead
to see what special menu we can offer.  Sorry, carry-in food
is no longer allowed, unless by a licensed caterer.
